Offshore

Key Projects & Achievements

  • Offshore Construction Manager for an Offshore project, managing the preparation, mobilisation transportation and installation activities, to successfully deliver a 3-legged suction bucket jacket, boat landing and topside in the South China Sea, offshore in the east coast of Malaysia.
  • Marine Operations Manager led the decommissioning, transportation and re-installation of a Well Head Platform (WHP) from its existing location to 50 NM across the South China Sea. Successfully delivered the project on time, the first relocation of an existing suction pile WHP in the world.
  • Operations Manager for the delivery of a DP-3 DSV with a core project team, to perform an offshore test-pile campaign at 15 locations. Successfully delivered draft and final soil data results on time.
  • Offshore Project Case Study, Marine operations Manager, case study for relocation of a WHP Platform in South China Sea.
  • Engaged as Marine Operations Manager/Tow Master as part of an Offshore project to prepare, mobilise, tow-out, transport and install 2 Topsides offshore Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • OWF Project as Project Engineer, reviewed transport manuals.
  • Led the design, transportation and installation of a reusable environmentally friendly 3-legged Jacket suction pile Well Head Platform (WHP) offshore Malaysia. This included transporting the WHP over 300 NM from the wet dock to Malaysian waters in the South China Sea.
  • Pipeline renewal project, as Project Coordinator and liaison during renewal SBM buoy and pipeline.
  • Marine Operations Manager/Tow Master for a DCP installation Project, successfully towed-out, transported and installed a Platform, offshore Philippines.
  • Successfully towed-out, installed and commissioned caissons for the 3rd largest suspension bridge in the world in Turkey. Designed ballast system for caissons and delivered within very challenging timescales to enable commencement of bridge construction.
  • Learning Consultant to provide advice and support to the Operations department of one of the largest oil companies for rigmove, anchor handling and towing operations. Successfully produced an ocean towing and anchor handling manual.

Towage & Salvage

  • Master Mariner and Advisor, with expertise in ocean towage, anchor handling and supply operations.
  • Tow Master, with experience in towage and installation of offshore units and WHP structures.
  • Senior Salvage Master to execute marine salvage operations, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and profitably within the framework of contractual provisions and quality assurance system.
  • Responsible for planning the salvage of vessels or their cargo/personnel, drawing on knowledge of naval architecture and seagoing experience and executing the detailed plans/overseeing the complete salvage operation, focusing on preservation of life, the environment and cargo recovery.
  • Hired to execute marine salvage operations, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and profitably within the framework of contractual provisions and quality assurance system.
  • Jointly drafted tenders to acquire contracts, determined working approach and drafted budgets.
  • Responsible for planning and executing salvage operations, drawing on knowledge of naval architecture and seagoing experience and executing the detailed plans/overseeing the complete salvage operation, focusing on preservation of life, the environment and cargo recovery.
  • Managed deployment, direction, coordination monitoring and assessment of staff including recruitment and assessment of external staff to ensure optimal staffing levels for project execution.
  • Oversaw with a salvage team to recover a very valuable cargo from a sunken cargo vessel in South Atlantic Ocean.
  • Developed and executed a salvage operation plan to lift 2 sections of an old submarine from the seabed avoiding any mercury spill.
  • Responsible for the removal of numerous wrecks, completed during a 2-year salvage campaign.
  • Successfully led a crane barge with assisting tug and divers including a salvage team to remove the forward section a stranded Bulk carrier.
